Jul 2019 - Sep 2020Taškent, UzbekistanConstruction of the Sergili Line of the Toshkent Metro (Client: “Uzbekistan Railways - Metro Bridge Department – O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” joint-stock company – Consultant: “Italferr S.p.A.” and “DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH”)The expansion to the Sergeli Metro line is composed of the overhead bridges with the total length of ca. 7 km and with five new stations.As part of the new Metro line and due to its complexity, the project design, supply, construction, installation, training and commissioning of the Sergeli Bridge line are considered a key element of the successful implementation and of the achievement of the envisaged objectives of the whole Metro project.The project mainly consist of construction of bridges in the Sergeli Department. At the same time, modern infrastructure have been installed (power supply, ventilation, fire extinguish systems, water discharge, video surveillance, signalling and telecommunication systems).For the construction: shallow foundation, bore pile foundations and driven concrete piles have been used. The bridge piers are placed at 26,5 m from each other. The height of the piers varies from 6 and 17 m. Double track is over the whole designed section.Foundations and piers are cast in place (except the driven prefabricated piles), beams for superstructure are prefabricated in the Bridge yard.As part of the international team of experts, is in charge of the construction drawings review and the site supervision of all the civil works involved in the metro line construction.Expert’s activities performed: Managing and Supervision Services, Technical review of the construction drawings submitted by the Contractor, Reviewing and approving the methodologies and working procedures for the construction works, Carrying out site inspections, audits and preparing reports for the Client on the quality and the progress of the construction works, Construction Supervision of signalization, telecommunication and power supply systems. -

Feb 2019 - Sep 2020Taškent, UzbekistanConstruction of the electrified railway line Angren-Pap; (Client: “Uzbekistan Railways – O’zbekiston temir yo’llari” joint-stock company – Consultant: “Italferr S.p.A.”)The project is composed of the main and safety tunnels, both approx. 20 km long and the whole line between Angren and Pap (approx. 123 km long). The field work took many years, involving multiple technologies focused on the installation of innovative signalling and telecommunications systems. This project includes a new production start-up for Site S.p.A. In particular, the range of railway safety products developed by Site S.p.A. at its Ozzano site will be extended to include Impedance Bonds, for which Site S.p.A. has been licensed by Hitachi Rail STS.
