I teach courses in Brain Plasticity, Neurolaw, Literature & the Brain, and Communication of Neuroscience, and I also guest lecture in many other courses, including Cognitive Neuroscience, Sleep and Dreams, Symbolic Systems, and Brain Machine Interfaces. My textbook, Brain & Behavior, is the book used for Stanford's Cognitive Neuroscience course. In my research, I seek to understand how the human brain constructs perception, how different people do so differently, and how this understanding changes the way we run our society.
