Mask Expressions is dedicated to creating a very singular and lasting experience for children through their own expression as they create a lifetime of memories, as well as an enduring personal keepsake. We reach out to children in situations that restrict their present and future, such as hospitalization. Children in clinical or medical situations, possibly terminal, are accorded the opportunity to give an artful expression in their personal self portrait. We are available to partner in children's art workshops, seasonal or after school art programs. I am available on limited scheduling to teach mask making workshops. Just Email me at maskexpressions@gmail.com The process is a two part experience. First visit takes about one half hour or so to complete the basic shell. We put a little lotion (hypoallergenic and of your approval) on the eyebrows and cheeks, apply thin strips of the plaster cloth, and we are done for today. I return in a week or so as scheduled with a mask completed and prepped to be painted by the little artists. It's fun and a great photo opportunity. We do not charge for the masks we create with these youngsters, the experience is reward beyond words. We do however pass the hat for contributions to cover basic materials, such as the plaster wrap, paints, liners, and other miscellaneous expenses (gas). The average mask costs about $20 per child to complete material wise. Please let me know how we can work together.
