Regional forecasting of key macroeconomic indicators for a portfolio of key emerging markets, including South Africa and Nigeria.Assist with team management, guiding thematic coverage and co-ordinating junior analysts.Supervision and maintenance of proprietary country risk ratings.Develop and maintain close relationships with prospective and existing clients, presenting key views.Carry out regular scenario analysis on the impact of possible shocks on emerging market economies.

Produce regular written analysis on a portfolio of countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, including actionable views on macroeconomics, politics and financial markets in the region using a total analysis methodology.Maintain large macroeconomic databases, including the management of historic data and forecasts for key macroeconomic variables.

As an analyst for the Foreign Affairs Review, I produce several written pieces throughout each academic semester for a newly launched student publication in St Andrews. The Foreign Affairs Review is an academic journal run by students, publishing content concerned with all facets of international relations. Specialising in African affairs, I have covered issues ranging from the drug trade in Guinea-Bissau, to the controversial rehabilitation centre on Iwawa Island on Lake Kivu, to France's monetary control over its old colonies.

A competitive month long internship programme in Washington D.C. offered by the Oxbridge Learning Academy. As a Policy Intern, I gained first hand insight into the policy making procedures of the American political system. Mornings were filled occupied by attending Congressional hearings, before moving on to various think tanks including The Brookings Institute, The Heritage Foundation, and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.

The position was offered as a competitive internship for school leavers across the country. Once selected for the job out of the many applicants my role was to assist qualified lawyers and trainee solicitors in their work with clients. This work ranged from research into legal precedent and market patterns, to working closely with clients so as to establish as productive a relationship as possible with Pinsent Masons LLP.
