About David Bender, Cmp

My current position is manager of medical ontology for the Radiological Society of North America. I work with controlled vocabularies to enhance related content utilities, structured reporting, other publishing and informatics activities.My most immediate previous position was On-Line Librarian in the Shared Library Services division of Career Education Corporation (CEC). Through IM, email, and telephone, I help provide reference services and bibliographic instructions for all of the schools under the aegis of CEC, including Le Cordon Bleu, American Intercontinental University, and Colorado Technical University.Previously I was the director of Library Services at Sanford-Brown College in Skokie, Illinois, until the school closed in July of 2014. My responsibilities included planning and implementing information literacy and library instruction for students and instructors, collection development, maintenance, technical services, and all other library operations.On the side I am the Principal for Little Fort Research Group. Little Fort focuses on providing free-lance legal support services for small law firms and solo practitioners. Services provided include legal research, trial support, document retrieval, writing and editing, and indexing and abstracting. Contact Little Fort: lfrg@att.netI have also done a great deal of taxonomy, indexing, and abstracting work. I have done indexing for The Philosopher's Index, CCH Incorporated, A.T. Kearney, and the American Bar Association.
