Designed and built a path based merkle trie library that provides the ability to generate a state fingerprint, to generate proofs of contained state, and to trustlessly sync the state to another database over the network.

-Designed and built a service in Go that enforces all business and legal requirements on a Lyft ride in real time. It is a rule engine that currently handles 50k+ ride evaluations a second with a p50 under 10ms.-Member of cross-functional team tasked with bringing Delivery service to the Lyft platform within three weeks as a response to COVID-19.

-Redesigned a Python service that is used to order and evaluate driver background and DMV checks. This work enabled Lyft to begin continuous driver monitoring instead of only ordering individual checks, saving millions of dollars each year and improving passenger safety.

- Designed, built, and maintained an internal messaging service that shares events between internal teams and is able to consistently handle 10,000+ RPS. - Migrated to a standard internal deployment architecture that led to the decommissioning of hundreds of machines. - Stripped out all instances of insecure access to the system through a private endpoint. All private calls were replaced it with a Service to Service authentication endpoint.- Altered how SQL calls were made and how user ids were used in order to increase user data safety. Upon completion, a single compromised backend system could access 80% less user data and new user leakage bugs dropped by 90% in the following year. - Owned an internal tool that was used to organize and evaluate test builds of OneDrive. Was able to increase test run consistency by 75%. ​

- Designed and performed analysis of Vericoin’s ​Proof of Stake Time and target interest algorithms. - Built an SMS based cryptocurrency wallet to enable anyone with a cellular phone to utilize Vericoin. - Built infrastructure and website to conduct an Initial Coin Offering. - Developed a cryptocurrency wallet in C# from scratch. The wallet supports over a dozen different cryptocoins. - Created a trading bot that performs arbitrage and speculation on crypto exchanges: Poloniex, Gdax, and Bittrex .

- Sole developer of risk management software that determines the flow of nanomaterial in a product’s manufacturing process rather than the current manual process. - Developed a Silverlight based research toolkit used to find and analyze studies done on the toxicity of nanomaterials. - Created additional input/output modules of an adaptive hydrodynamic model using C and Python

- Improved the onboard navigation systems accuracy in determining the current location of an autonomous underwater vehicle (Slocum Glider) through partial simulation and data collected from onboard sensors.- Developed ocean model and vehicle simulation software to validate the autonomous undersea vehicle control programs.- Created a GUI for specifying the navigation route for an autonomous undersea vehicle. This GUI was developed using Adobe Flex, and interfaced with Google Maps.

- Completed development of an OCR application using C# / WinForms to automatically parse printed statements to apply the appropriate credits into the accounting system. This application has been used to process hundreds of transactions each week since it was completed.- Completed design of a local SQL Server database and the associated rules based engine which allowed for the configuration and processing of each vendor’s unique format.
