JUMEME – Rural Power Supply Ltd. is a fully integrated energy service provider, developing off- and on-grid renewable energy projects in Tanzania. As General Manager first and Project director later, I followed the development of the whole project, passing from a single pilot site with few customers to 23 fully commissioned minigrid sites and two 1 MW grid connected solar farms fully developed. After the commissioning phase, I led the process to establish a strong O&M system to guarantee a long-term sustainability of the company: with his 23 minigrids JUMEME provides energy services to more than 150,000 people and 2,000 small businesses. Strong focus was given to energy supply to Productive users and anchor customers such as the telecom Industry, mines, and SMEs in general.By 2025, JUMEME aims to supply high quality and reliable electricity to 1 mil. People and to have a grid-connected installed power capacity of 200 MW.

Within the Myanmar National Electrification Program (NEP) framework, main activities carried out for the AICS (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) are:- Interacting and coordinating with the main stakeholders (Ministries involved, World Bank, other bilateral donors and organizations);- General Supervision and evaluation of the activities progress.- Provide technical assistance and guidance to the Department of Rural Development and the MoPF-TD, with particular reference to: [a] policies and strategies preparetion, [b] general supervision on the realization of the foreseen installations (Mini-Grids, solar, hydroelectric, biomass and biogas), [c] preparation of the annual work and procurement plans and [d] preparation of the terms of reference for the needed tenders' procedures.

Energy program general management in TANZANIA, with a look to the global strategy that ACRA should adopt to position itself as a main development enabler factor, by stimulate and strengthening a sustainable and stable socio-economic growth through the creation of new opportunities for the productive use of electricity and local value chains valorisation, with a focus on the NEXUS and social business practices.Main Activities: a. Establish and maintain a steady and active collaboration with all national level authorities (REA, EWURA, NEMC, MoEM, MoF) and the main private actors operating in the energy sector.b. Develop and implement an appropriate and effective energy sector's strategy, setting clear objectives and indicators for energy activities in consultation with other energy actors present in the Country.c. Develop approaches, methodologies and models for renewable energy investments, and set alternative financing method for single projects or a portfolio of projects.d. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities and Prepare Terms of References and tender documents for service providers and suppliers.e. Oversee all tender processes and ensure timely procurement of required project inputs and materials according to the procurement plan.f. Supervise projects implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activitiesg. Establish a M&E system, supervise data collection on program indicators and revise them according to the achievement of the Project objectives, prepare detailed Annual Action Plans and participate in projects evaluations and assist in the analysis of the results.h. Manage the budget for the assigned projects and ensure all expenses are according to budget and meet ACRA Foundation standards with regard to financial management, including accountability and good governance.

General management of projects mainly focused in the WASH sector, by: a. Plan, coordinate, manage and monitor all the projects activities;b. Explore new design possibilities for minimizing the impact of refugees on local resources, with a special focus for the WASH and Energy topics c. Participate in public initiatives and facilitate relations with the all relevant stakeholder;d. Follow the administration of the project fund and assist the administration office in the administrative/accounting of the project fund.e. Management of financial and logistical resources;f. Selection of project staff;g. Drafting and revision of project proposals, feasibility studies, structural designs and bill of quantities.

Alderman to the Environmental and Energy policies.Program of the department was the Sustainable Economic Growth using Renewable Energy Projects as investment catalyst. Activities concentrated on two main aspects:[1] the creation of synergies among the tourist sector, environmental conservation and the reduction of the use of non-renewable sources, by using local endogenous resources and creating virtuous value chain especially in the biomass and water sector and [2] the setup of [a] capacity building activities and [b] market actions to create condition to reduce technology costs and enable new value chains and business opportunities.
