My experience began at home working for the family business throughout my adolescence. As a full-time student, with an internship, I worked 25 hours a week at MBNA America Bank, earning 100% of my college expenses. I grew my franchise of Tuition Painters to a 20-person business that achieved over $300,000 in gross sales. In the eight months I managed the business, I exceeded production records by 59%, was recognized nationally by The Associated Press, and achieved the highest production levels in the company’s ten-year history. After graduation I was a full-time Strategies Analyst for MBNA, where I was exposed to strategies designed to maximize profits on the credit card portfolio. I began working for Richmond American Homes (MDC Holdings, Inc.) in their Purchasing Leadership Development Program. After completing the leadership program I held the following positions: Supply Chain Analyst, Purchasing Agent, Estimator, and Regional Estimator.
