Financial Leadership (My Why) - I believe businesses can operate under a simple approach, i.e. Oakum’s Razor approach to business. The simplest approach is the best approach. Businesses in the United States do not understand that if you build dams, things dam up. Businesses have created unprecedented levels of complexity that cannot be managed properly and has led to untold frustration and inefficacies. Tony Robins said “Complexity is the enemy of execution. The more complex you make it the more likely you are not going to follow through.” I have seen layers and layers of bureaucratic stasis. After seeing a myriad of dams being built, I now see the wisdom of General Norman Schwarzkopf who said “You learn far more from negative leadership than from positive leadership. Because you learn how not to do it. And, therefore, you learn how to do it.” Businesses need to understand complexity leads to a loss of control and waste. I will continually work to reduce complexity. As Bruce Lee said “Simplicity is the key to brilliance”. I will create one company with an unwavering belief system. The one belief that permeates through everything I do is a simple one – I will be a blessing to my customer. I will create a company that is the expression of how an efficiently run company can be a blessing by constantly and consistently bring value to others. I believe income in earned when one human being serving another.I am interested in the One Belt One Road Initiative (BRI) and Puerto Rico Act 20 and Act 22.
