Davide Conti was born in Genoa in 1983. After classical studies, in 2003 he enrolled in the faculty of industrial design in Genoa. Since 2006 he has focused his attention on furniture and interior design, participating and winning several national and international competitions. In 2007 he became a member of ADI (Association for Industrial Design), and at the end of 2011 he founded, together with other members, the territorial delegation of ADI in Liguria, holding the position of Councilor with delegation for the Levante area from 2012 to 2016. Since 2008 he has begun to establish professional relationships with national and international clients, thus finalizing his first projects as a professional. Following his professional growth and the consolidation of relationships with his collaborators and clients, at the end of 2012 he decided to found the Davide Conti Design Studio in his city. From 2013 to 2015 he held the role of Project Manager ADI China, and from 2015 to 2023 he was General Manager ADI in China, developing with Chinese partners projects related to the internationalization of ADI and Compasso d’Oro, and actively contributing to the promotion and development of projects between the world of Chinese and Italian design. Over the years he has seen his horizons broaden first to Milan and then Shanghai with the opening of a new company in China, outlining new ideas and objectives for his team, collaborators and international customers. Since 2015 he has actively participated as a juror for international competitions and since 2016 he has taught interior design and Italian design for several Chinese universities, developing courses, workshops and design trips to Italy for Chinese design students. In 2017, together with other colleagues, he founded the IADC, Italian Architects and Designers Community in China. In 2019 he founded IDM - Italian Design Masterclass in Shanghai, an extra-academic high-level training course for Chinese designers, including network events, travel and activities for the promotion of Made in Italy in China. Since 2023 he has actively returned to the European market working as Creative Director and consultant for interior, communication and event projects. In 2023 he became President of ACLD - Liguria Design Cultural Association and Creative Director of the Tigullio Design District. Particularly creative, he lives reality with joy and curiosity, drawing countless ideas that lead him to dedicate himself with passion to his work. He lives and works between Shanghai, Milan and Chiavari.
