As an integration engineer I continued my drive to make the business partners lives easier by working backend integrations technologies to build more robust insights into data. Tasks included building automated processes to send orders to vendors and to retrieve tracking of the orders shipped. I also coordinated a replatforming of our reporting tools to a more stable system.

As a data analyst I worked closely with the business partners to help them define and visualize valuable KPIs that drove business decisions using our in-house web-based reporting platform reports. I used both front-end and back-end web development skills to provide user friendly reports with intuitive controls. Some of my bigger accomplishments include:• Using PHP and the Laravel framework I automated Excel reports, added GUIs to allow better data exploration, and helped define and report on performance metrics that the E-Commerce team used to make merchandising decisions. • Identifying / eliminating record duplication, and mitigating API errors for a $3.75K savings/day• Adding $200K back into the bottom line by resolving a major reconciliation error• Improving SQL query quality and speeding up report processing 90%• Funneling new data (both standard and ad hoc) to executive leadership• Reducing errors by 5% in sales reporting

I was initially hired and worked in customer care, and after demonstrating my talent at manipulating data (full automating the returns process and eliminating 1500 manhours/quarter at a $180K savings), I became the foremost authority on the complex RMA process and was able to train other teammates to take over the position.
