Generally speaking, I love to find practical solutions to problems. I have always liked the challenges of developing new appliances and optimizing existing ones. To me a design process that brings to a working final product is like a form of art. Specialised in termomechanics and thermofluid-dynamics, I am a Ph.D Mechanical Engineer, passionate about energy efficiency, new technologies and renewable sources since I was in high school. These passions together with a strong propensity for the practical implementation pushed me towards jobs for which I can follow the entire process of development of new solutions and devices, from the conceptualization to the building and testing of the final product. During academic studies and my work experience I dealt with different kind of energetic efficiency applications such as Organic Rankine Cycles (ORC) for exhaust gas energy recuperation, road tunnel ventilation, high vacuum insulated flat plate solar collectors, boasting diverse peer-reviewed publications and industrial products. These work and academic experiences allowed me to gain familiarity and expertise with:- Computer Aided Design (CAD)- 3D Modelling and Numerical simulation- Experimental setup and measurements, and validation of numerical models. I am familiar with the main numerical simulation software like Ansys or Comsol, and 3D-CAD software like Creo Parametric. I am particularly comfortable with structural simulations, thermal simulations, CFD simulations and optical analysis, but I am not afraid to experiment new fields. I often make use of Python or MATLAB coding to automatize optimizations and data analysis.I am used to teamworking, and I absolutely love it, as it allows to inspect a problem from different points of view, bringing always brilliant and innovative solutions.
