I work in the Engineering & Consulting Department that acts as solution provider for the other Business Units in Alperia. I develop detailed electrical design fro Hydro power plants and for MV substations. My role goes from Project Manager to Specialist in Electrical Engineering & Automation depending on the specific scope of work. I mainly share my time between Smart Grid solutions development and hydro power plant design. I also fulfill the role of Construction Manager according to D.lgs 50/2016.Another focus in which I'm committed is the investigation of innovative solutions that can help Alperia to improve plant design, operation and maintenance. For this reason I'm open to study and test the latest breakthroughs coming both from Vendors and from Universities.

My daily scope of work is:Electrical substation automation system (SAS) design and development for HV and MV gridSmart Grid expert. Automation function implementation and protective scheme definition.Tech spec analysis, activity planning, project control and activity coordination.Protocol expert: I use IEC standards like 60870-5-104, OPC, Modbus and most of all 61850.Automation expert: I use every type of IEC 61131 standard languages as IL, ST, FC and FBD.Control and Protection device knowledge: I include in every solution different Vendor's hardwares and softwares. My experience covers Siemens, ABB, GE, SEL, AREVA, SCHNEIDER protection and control devices.Factory tests, site tests and commissioning coordination.Technical meetings, demos, presentations and conventions.Goal-oriented Project Management support.Tender preparation and technical cooperation with marketing and sales activities.Customer's post-sales activity supervision.IEC standard update: the inclusion of IEC 62351 standard (cyber security) in SAS design.
