DAVIDE FOIS (Sassari/Italy) is an architectural engineer, with studies in Engineering and Architecture at the Faculty of Cagliari-Italy. In 2009, receives a master degree in architecture and urban culture (“Metropolis”) awarded by the CCCB (Centro de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) and the UPC (Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya) in Barcelona/Spain.In 2003, he was an active member of “Might”, an association with the aim of promoting architecture within the city.During his membership in “Might”, has been one of the curators and designers of two photographic exhibitions:Kalaritime (2005) ,Kalaritime2 (2004) and a project concerning an inflatable shelter for students: Student Room (Exhibition, 2005) presented at the faculties of Cagliari and Camerino, Italy.After a period in Cagliari as trainee architect, he worked in Ireland as Junior architect for JCA-Jack Coughlan Architects and Associates.(2005-2007).In 2007, joined in Barcelona the firm Nabito Arquitectura where he worked until 2009. He was a co-lecturer at the Faculty of architecture in Lubjiana/Slovenia, for the project The rainbow Tower, a collaboration with Nabito Arquitectura and winner of Europan 10.Other works:Big See Interior Design Award 2019 Winner - The Hip Flat - Fois-Afentaki StudioDIYCity: a guide for the other city of Barcelona. Master thesis presented at the CCCB (Centro de Cultura Contemporàniade Barcelona (2009);Collapse with Nabito Arquitectura, presented at Festival Eme3, Barcelona (2009).“Mannomissioni” ,video presented at Beyond Media Video Festival, Florence (2002).Actually he is based in Athens working as architect for an architectural firm and for his own practice, from time to time, working as freelance collaborating with offices in Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Greece.
