But I learned how to master Linux on AS/400, sendmail (!) and 3 different technology for putting an AS/400 on the Internet (web-to-batch, fat-client-to-batch-with-DDS-sorcery, Webfacing).

I worked at the re-engineering of a Visualage Smalltalk client-server interface to an AS/400 - System i ERP, adding exception handling, some persistence refactoring by introducing basic design patterns and, at last, re-engineering it as full web based product (codenamed "Wise").

I developed a real time job shop scheduler for the paper printing and converting. Written in Smalltalk (Digitalk - OS/2 first, then migrated to IBM Visualage Smalltalk) and interfaced with an AS/400 - Sistem i ERP. Still sold as "RMA". Many customers, a small but sound team, many kilometers : many satisfactions.
