Retired from the USAF with 21 years, four months of active duty service (1993-2015). Served in the SC Army Nat Guard from 1988 to 1991. Works with people to reach their God given potential.     Make education, jobs, roads, fee market healthcare and integrity in government great again in South Carolina. Population and industry have fled Williamsburg County and other parts of Senate District 32. Only 48% of males who enter Kingstree High School actually gradate. Only 51% of African American males who enter 9th grade in South Carolina graduate from high school. That's a crying shame that must end now. Democrat politicians and school administrators turn a blind to these civil rights issues of our day. Do teenage male lives matter to them? They matter to me. The roads in Senate District 32 are some of the worst in SC. Sabb has been in the general assembly 10 years. Have things gotten better or worse? Answer: worst school district in SC; worst roads in SC; some of the highest percentage of families on generational government dependence, etc. Ellison Goal: every K-12 child in SC will attend and graduate from a school of their parents choosing. A Republican senator hasn't won in this area since ~Reconstruction.

    1. Make K-12 education in SC great again; ~49% of African American males who enter 9th grade, don’t graduate HS in SC, and it's not much better in other male demographics. All kids are made in the image of God. Yet political leaders turn a blind eye to this abject failure. We must end this epidemic of one size fits all socialists education, which leads to poverty, crime, lack of jobs, welfare, Section 8 housing and dead beat dads. Solution: God ordained K-12 Parental Educational Choice (PEC), which reinforces and acknowledges that parents, not govt bureaucrats, have the God given duty, right and authority to determine how and where their children are educated.2. Make work great again. Attract high paying jobs in infrastructure, manufacturing and high-tech industries through disciplined rigorous PEC STEM programs. Quality jobs will not come unless we exponentially improve our K-12 education system by implementing PEC & STEM. K-12 PEC will bring quality jobs. That’s a documented fact that big govt bureaucrats and teacher associations ignore, hate and reject.3. Make the family, the church and business great again. In some areas of Dist 32, 40%+ of households are on government assistance. We must stop paying taxpayer money to healthy citizens to not work. Poverty kills; lack of self-respect and loss of dignity kills too. The family, the church and business must step up to lift individuals/families out of poverty through support, care and training. When is the last time a govt welfare bureaucrat helped a family get off generational welfare? The govt has no vested interest or incentive to help folks get off welfare, Section 8 or food stamps. It’s not the govt’s job to do what the family, church and business should be doing for local people. It’s time for these sacred institutions to get back to their core missions, and the govt to get back to it’s core mission, i.e., protecting law abiding citizens from evil and making it easy for citizens to live and do business.

    4. Make American Citizenship great again. Require all American citizens, green card holders, legal residents and their children to learn English. Stop Balkanizing South Carolina and America. A state that's not united by language and core values ceases to be a state. There is a reason we are in the “United” States of America. We are not the “Divided States” of America, Mexico, China, Russia and Europe, etc. Reduce illegal immigration in SC to zero because it’s killing wages, jobs and lives. Aggressively prosecute business and private citizens who knowingly hire illegal aliens. There are over 127,869 illegal aliens and their children in SC that cost the state in taxpayer money ~$630 billion, which is ~$5000 per illegal alien (https://www.fairus.org). This is a massive cost to our citizens in lost jobs and lost taxpayer money that could have been used to fund roads and education, etc. 5. Make American History & patriotism great again. It's time to call out Democrat socialism and Marxism because it kills citizens, schools, communities and states.6. Make protecting one’s family and community great again. How long does it take one of SC's finest to arrive on scene after a home invasion 911 call? Answer: long enough for carnage to occur. It takes a split second for a home invasion to go sideways. We must protect our God given right to “keep and bear arms”. What’s the first thing socialists/Marxists do when taking over a nation? Historical fact: confiscate weapons, guns and Bibles. 7. Make fiscal responsibility great again. Balance the state budget. Reduce government red-tape starting with eliminating state income tax. Make state sales tax the primary revenue generator. Get South Carolinian out of debt.8. Make integrity, honesty and faith great again. Be an equal opportunity senator. PEC provides parents of K-12 children resources (their own taxpayer $) in the form of $16K+ in tax credits and/or education savings accounts. PEC legally allows parents to pull their children out of failing govt run schools to send them to private schools, magnet schools, charter schools, parochial schools or home schools. Bottomline is parents should not be forced to send their kids to failing schools of any kind. Big government teacher associations and unions despise parental school choice with a passion because they don't like fair competition.
