Working to significantly improve the recovery outcomes of stroke survivors with deeply immersive simulations and advanced robotics
Hired as the Chief Innovation Officer to develop original concepts to disrupt storytelling and brand management implementation on social networks. Worked with engineering and marketing to rapidly create and perform validation testing on concepts. Used as a troubleshooter for solving problems with business, the product design, technology or development processes.• Conceived and designed of a process that automatically creates a narrative thread between photos, videos and text messages – essentially providing the foundation of a story.• Designed the flow of the audience user experience.• Designed in-app camera functionality to provide a seamless user experience.• Developed a viable method to monetize the GeoJotter platform.
As the lead creative, worked with clients on concept and design. Used innate ability to visualize the functional flow of any proposed interactive design to find critical design flaws. As always, closely monitored the development process all the way to delivery.• Developed the concept and design for the Lexus Golf Cart Challenge, a head-to-head video race game using custom fabricated motion control cockpits for the players. Oversaw a rapid, 3-month development cycle that resulted in a working prototype that Lexus was able to use at an event.• Designed and oversaw development of the British Columbia Explorer, an interactive experience showcased in the 2008 and 2010 Olympic Games. This immersive experience was the only one in the world that allowed you to fly in virtual real-time by extending your hand out and “flying” it. It also has the distinction of being the largest terrain dataset ever to run on a flight simulator. Reliable working prototypes of these technological firsts delivered to Beijing in only 65 days for use in the 2008 games.• Under an impossible 6-month deadline, redesigned 14 interactive exhibits and managed the development for a successful delivery prior to the open of the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas. Also designed and directed the production of four animated videos during that timeframe for the same museum.
Primary role was working directly with the film and television producers/directors to design signature styles for their animation and/or visual effects. In addition, oversaw production through internal and client review processes ensuring that the deliverables stay on track with the original concept and client expectations. Foresaw and resolved crucial issues with the design or execution well in advance before they became detrimental to the budget, delivery schedule and/or client relations.• Designed the graphics and animation styles for Discovery Channel's highly acclaimed Monster Garage and Monster House shows.• In 2004, was responsible for overseeing the delivery animation & VFX for over 100 television episodes/shows in a single year.• Worked on several major feature films, designing and delivering visual effects for Driven, Bulletproof Monk and Highlander: Endgame among others.• During the dotcom bubble of 2001, developed several web-based 3D games for Mattel’s Barbie line of toys.
