Through my company I provide advise and support to the transport industry, including government departments. I have a successful track record of negotiating multi-million pound changes to government contracts, on behalf of both the public and private sector. In recent years I have supported the DfT in developing its fares policy, and delivered some of the biggest Change contract negotiations seen within rail. Key specialisms include leading on the delivery of major (£100m plus) projects across multi stakeholders, and the planning and delivery of transport (main focus rail) requirements for major global events (including London 2012, 2015 Rugby World Cup, 2017 Champions League Final).I manage and promote a number of music artists in the UK and USA, with the successful release of new albums in the UK.

Responsible for leading group of external consultants to deliver on behalf of the DfT the changes to regulated fares announced by the Government covering 2014, 2015 and 2016-20.Led all rail franchise negotiations, on behalf of the DfT, with train operators to agree multi-million financial impact of the Changes, and subsequent settlements.

Supporting close out of London 2012 contracts

Led team of senior executives at ODA, responsible for putting in place Public Transport arrangements for some 8 million London 2012 spectators and the hugely successful One Team Transport strategy, turning transport hubs pink. Key stakeholder management with Transport for London, Network Rail, High Speed 1, Department for Transport, Department of Culture Media and Sport, LOCOG, UK train operating companies, and Association of Train Operating Companies.Successfully led contract negotiations and management of £186m Public Transport programme for London 2012, ensuring contracts were fit for purpose and delivered within budget.

• Worked on series of rail franchise bids, including drafting, cost control, financial modelling, and new product development;• Sat on the CBI’s Transport Working Group;• Advised First’s Rail Board, and led negotiations with the Office of the Rail Regulator and Department for Transport, on regulatory policy issues, obtaining agreement on application of policy;• Led negotiations with Network Rail on transfer of assets onto Regulatory Asset Base (RAB);• Drafted First's formal response to the Local Transport Bill Consultation Paper and prepared briefing for Bill's passage through the House; • Led process reviews on First’s Rail Replacement Bus business and its integrated transport strategy in the UK; • Led change management workstreams as part of Executive Board review of overheads and headcount at First.

Led on emerging generic passenger and freight policy issues which had financial implications. Overseeing delivery of financial commitments within rail franchise contracts and undertook a series of projects, including:• Negotiation of passenger dividend post Hatfield with rail operators;• Brokered tri-partite settlement between the SRA, Network Rail and GNER/Sea Containers on Network Change claim including a payment from Sea Containers to the SRA;• Led working group on the development of alternative insurance products for the rail industry. Work reported in the national press and the Prime Minister’s Office monitored progress. Resulted in near 50% reduction in premiums for rolling stock insurance;• Designed and implemented monthly viability reporting model/pack of train operating companies for Executive Board; • Negotiated first profit sharing deal with Stagecoach for Island Line as part of franchise extension agreement; and• Led financial negotiations for initial Anglia Railways rescue package.
