Researcher and entrepreneur, I am a specialist in the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and physiological signals. I led BioBeats’ engineering and research team as the CTO until its acquisition (BioBeats is now a Huma company), where I served until 2023 as Director of AI (and legal representative of the italian branch). I then served as CTO at Healios Ltd., a London based online mental health, autism, and ADHD service provider for children, young people and families, for 2 years, deploying GenAI solutions to help clinicians with intellectual and clerical tasks.My first PhD in Computer Science (at the University of Pisa) focused on energy models for algorithms to reduce software energy consumption, my second DPhil (at Oxford) focused on Bayesian frameworks to handle uncertainty in HRV estimations. I am also a musician (composer and saxophonist).
