During this Postdoctoral research period I:- deepened my knowledge about analytical and numerical simulation techniques of large systems of coupled differential equations for the characterization of open quantum many-body systems;- developed and maintened codes, written principally in Fortran and Wolfram language (GUI: Mathematica);- learned Python (matplotlib and numpy) for data visualization of statistical properties such as many-body correlation functions

During the 3 years I spent working on my PhD research I:- investigated via analytical and numerical methods the Physics of quantum many-body systems close to quantum phase transitions;- performed numerical simulations on HPC clusters running Linux based OS and developed new theoretical criteria for the characterisation of open quantum many-body systems;- got familiarity with Bash scripting language as well as OpenMP for parallel computing on shared memory machines;- contributed positively and effectively to team work research as well as carried out complex tasks autonomously (as suggested by my Pubblication list, see below);- improved my capabilities of working under pressure as well as organizing my activities in order to conduct simultaneously different projects;- have been asked to report periodically the progress of my research to the department council as well as to give talks to undergraduate students. These experiences taught me how to efficiently make presentations for an heterogeneous audience.Publication list:- D.
