As lawyer of time.lex I assist clients in dealing with their ICT-related legal issues, including drafting contracts (collaboration agreements, framework agreements, etc.), solving problems in the area of privacy and intellectual property rights, advising public (national and European) public and private authorities in their IT and commercial issues.In particular I gained an extensive experience in the following pioneering topics:- Cloud computing from the legal perspective: what Cloud and Grid businesses and users should know before migrating to these technologies (from the point of view of privacy, liabilities, consumers' protection, intellectual property rights, etc.);- Setting up privacy policies in multinational companies in relation to the monitoring powers of the employer towards the employees;- Rules applicable to the electronic registration of specific service providers and possibilities for businesses (e.g. architects, real estate agencies, travel agents, etc.) to register in another EU Member State and to exercise there their trade or profession, on a temporary or permanent basis;- Electronic identity documents and electronic signature according to the European and national legal framework;- Electronic procurement: assistance to public and private bodies to set up legally-compliant e-procurement tools and to take full advantage of the e-procurement tools offered by European countries;- Electronic payments and identification methods according to the applicable legal and security rules;- Identity theft and protection of victims;- IP addresses and privacy: how the privacy of Internet users shall be protected by companies providing services on the network and how victims of copyright infringements can be protected;- Spam and spyware: what companies can and cannot do;- Counterfeiting and piracy: efficient methods to protect victims;- VAT and electronically supplied services under Belgian and Italian law.
