Project name: "Moon/Mars Robotic Exploration Control Centre Technologies"This project aims to design, develop, and demonstrate an integrated suite of technologies and components for advanced control centres managing multi-robot missions on the Moon and Mars. It addresses the growing international focus on space exploration, with the Moon serving as both a critical testing ground for new technologies and a base for future missions to Mars. These missions represent a shift in complexity, requiring innovative solutions for long-term exploration, human settlement, and resource exploitation.Through the use of artificial intelligence, advanced simulation, and distributed mission control, the project aims to bridge the technology gaps between current exploration efforts and future colonisation missions. The proposed framework will enable robust strategic and tactical planning in diverse multi-robot environments, even for highly heterogeneous robotic systems. It will include capabilities for real-time monitoring and operation control, haptic teleoperation for remote interaction, and distributed mission management.Besides designing and running experiments with simulated and real manipulators and rovers, the role involved participating in and leading scrum meetings to coordinate the activities of all participants.
