My goal is to leverage the best practices in digital and social storytelling to advance the business objectives of the college while playing a primary role in keeping Bates' digital presence innovative and engaging.• Manage all primary Bates College accounts across platforms including content creation, community moderation, social listening, and asset scheduling.• Oversee and implement the College's full-funnel paid social media campaigns for our Admission search process. Annual fiscal spend ~$60,000 per cycle.• Collaborate with colleagues in cross functional teams in design, data, photo/video and editorial to create and produce original content.• Work closely with our partners in the Office of Advancement and the Department of Athletics on best practices in social media strategy, paid social, and content creation.• Manage student workers and student volunteers to develop, produce, and publish organic social directed at our current and prospective student audiences

As digital media specialist it is my responsibility to oversee and advance the college's overall social media strategy by coordinating with key partners in the Offices of Admission and Advancement as well as the Department of Athletics, while also providing education and guidance to the over 50 related departmental and student life accounts.- Create and execute original social campaigns. Write copy, create visual assets, and work closely with our photo/video department to coordinate photography and video production for social platforms.- Working with Bates' director of digital communications, determine the strategy and execute paid social media campaigns in support of the college's key communications priorities.- Work with our editorial partners in the Communications Office to elevate our storytelling on social.- Coordinate projects with BCO's design department to make impactful social-first visual assets.- In coordination with the Chief Communications Officer, work closely with the President on her social media presence and strategy for sharing communications regarding key college priorities.

- Manage multiple social accounts for WNET and its media properties (public television stations and its national programming) including marquis primetime PBS series American Masters and Great Performances.- Fluent with major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, and Instagram- Write copy and select and coordinate asset creation with production and design teams including video clips, GIFs and graphics.- Co-managed social media for the first season of WNET's PBS Digital Studios YouTube program "First Person."- Proficient in social media scheduling dashboard software including Buffer, SproutSocial, and TweetDeck.- Executed targeted paid media campaigns on Facebook- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro for social related asset creation and WordPress CMS for program websites and blogs.
