About Davide Tosi

Davide Tosi received his BSc in Telecommunication Engineering (2000) at the Politecnico di Milano, a MSc in Computer Science (2002) and his PhD in Computer Science (2007) at the University of Milano Bicocca. Currently, Davide Tosi is a Researcher at DISTA (Università degli Studi dell'Insubria) and has an active collaboration with the University of Milano Bicocca, Regione Lombardia, Vodafone Italy and Reply. During his carrier, Davide Tosi has supervised several student thesis, was assistant professor and professor for several courses (both in academia and in industry), wrote several international papers for workshops, conferences and journals (more than 30 international papers), revised papers for international conferences and journals, participated to the program and organization committee of international workshops and conferences (TSOA, SOQUA, ICAC, INTENSIVE, EMERGING), and collaborated in several regional, national and international projects ("LA FIERA VIRTUALE" founded by Regione Lombardia, QUACK and COMMUTA founded by the MIUR, SHADOWS, QUALIPSO and SUPERHUB founded by the EU).Since May 2011, Davide Tosi is CEO at OpenSoftEngineering s.r.l.Recently, Davide started also an industrial experience as Scientist in Vodafone Italia and Reply.His research interests include software testing and analysis, mobile agent systems, component based systems, self-managed systems, web services and open source software. Currently, Davide Tosi is working on the definition of new methodologies and new technologies for assessing the trustworthiness of Open Source Software products.Specialties: Software Engineering, Software Testing and Analysis, Self-Adaptive Service Oriented Architectures, Self-Healing Systems and Autonomic Computing, Mobile Agents, Mobile Learning Solutions, Mobile Architectures, Open Source Software.
