With over fifteen years of experience in design research, service and systems design, experience design, brand strategy, creative strategy, and agency leadership, I am passionate about removing the barriers that prevent people from accessing the support services or information they need to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. As the former HCD Capability and Practice Coach and now Experience Design Capability and Practice Lead at Beyond Blue, I oversee both the continuous development and implementation of human-centred design methodologies and practices across the organisation as well as serve as CX lead on any number of prioritised portfolio initiatives within our strategic insights, digital and data, emerging innovation, service delivery enhancement and new product development ensuring our work and efforts first and foremost mirror, informed by, are created in partnership with the needs, preferences, and experiences of our diverse and complex communities. I have a proven track record of leading, supporting and coaching teams to find customer-centric growth opportunities within their most challenging and complex business issues, using customer research, journey mapping, lean business models, proposition design, service blueprints, and prototyping. I also have extensive experience leading transformational and innovation activities in establishing or maturing in-house human-centred design capabilities through learning and development and practice principles and techniques, including creating clear community research participation guidelines, governance practices, trauma-informed safety protocols for both research teams and community as well as upholding data, privacy, co-design, co-production ethics and standards. I hold a B.S. from Boston University in Mass Communication, a Certificate in Design Thinking Facilitation from ExperiencePoint, Systems Design (IDEO), Behaviour Change (AimForBehaviour) and certifications in Sensory Processing Sensitivity Training, Trauma Informed Practice and Care, Mental Health First Aid, First Aid Training, Consumer Data Privacy and Digital Security. I am a member of the Diversity Council of Australia and a six-year serving board member of Rawcus, an innovative, multi-award-winning inclusive performance arts based in Melbourne, Victoria.
