I have worked in Facilities related businesses all of my professional life. From the early days at a hardware store in Santa Clara during college that was to become Orchard Supply Hardware, to many various jobs at the Amdahl / Fujitsu campus in Sunnyvale and beyond. I've done many things. " I know a little about a lot and a lot about a little." I have a good understanding of Fab lab's and manufacturing buildings. I also have experience with commercial facilities and retail operations. A bit with residential facilities issues as well.I have worked on and supported systems typical in data centers, wafer fab and other manufacturing environments; DI water plants, N2, H2, e-power systems, UPS, waste water treatment plants, process vacuum, CDA, chiller plants, boiler plants, low temp chillers, temperature / humidity / particle count and pressure environmental control, fire alarm and suppression systems. I have extensive experience with multiple BMS and CMMS including managing servers as well as replacing and upgrading them to current technology.I have worked on commissioning and RCx projects in the US, Ireland, the UK and in China. Understanding designed sequence of operation versus what is really happening in the field is a special fascination. I have sponsored and completed several large energy conservations projects that have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars while earning many large energy rebates and reducing emissions.I have managed energy procurement for several campuses that were supplied through the open electrical and natural gas markets. No small task.I've managed large work groups. All facets of campus facilities O&M, including help desk operations and supporting security control center operations.I've done a bit of web development and promotion as a hobby for non-profits and small business friends.
