David is an experienced international business development and education professional. He runs his own education consultancy company SOWWIF Ltd advising on and creating business relationships and programmes for education companies such as Avantis Education, Learning By Questions, Satori Education and ComproTechnologies. Part of this is acting as contracted Managing Director of Imagine Education Ltd, recently running an Asian Development Bank programme in Uzbekistan developing STEM strategies for the government. He is also Senior Education Consultant for The Wisdom Partnership and advisor to MENA Edtech Exchange. Until March 2020 David was CEO of the biggest teacher professional development programme in the world for the Arab Republic of Egypt. He has also been a Board Member of BESA (British Education Suppliers Association) chairing the Software and Technologies group.He worked as Business Advisor to OFREPS (One Future Renewables) and has worked on developing initiatives around the effective use of renewable technologies in accelerating educational change in developing countries. He has spoken at and taken workshops at many international conferences such as the World Islamic Economic Forum, Planet Earth Institute High Level Forum at the UN General Assembly, ICTLT in Singapore, ULearn in New Zealand, several World Didac and BESA conferences, the International and Private School Education Forum and the UNESCO ICT in Education conference, where he was awarded the honour of presenting the most innovative idea in educational technology.David graduated from Loughborough University, UK with an Honours degree in Sports Science and a Certificate of Education. He has taught in Further Education, Secondary and Primary schools, leaving a post as Deputy Head teacher in 2001.He then took a post as Senior Educational Consultant with a UK based IT company and during this time was seconded for 2 years to the UK Ministry of Education, developing and implementing national computerised assessment tests.David lives in the UK with his wife and daughter and enjoys the outdoor life as much as possible.
