Formerly Fugro Ground Geophysics Pty Ltd & Fugro Airborne Pty Ltd• Business Development role managing the sales and marketing of ground geophysical surveys and later airborne, including the preparation of marketing material, creation of advertisements and attending mineral exploration conferences.• Stabilised revenue through increased customer retention and sole-supplier arrangements and reduced risk by diversification of markets.• Development of long term relationships with key clients to provide full solution-based services, from acquisition to the provision of ongoing interpretation and consulting.• Extensive experience with client liaison, costing jobs, planning logistics and surveys using geospatial software, preparing quotations, proposals and tenders to fulfil client requirements followed by monitoring progress, reporting and managing customer satisfaction by undertaking client reviews and facilitating feedback as part of a program of continuous improvement.

• Built business performance indicators to prove the worth of services so that benefits such as the impact on users or the breadth of their usage could be measured. These indicators (some aligned with COBIT metrics) varied considerably from the KPIs which only measure the operational performance rather than the beneficial impact of the service and its alignment with the businesses strategy. • Project managing the Software Procurement & License Management Project, the IT Hardware Procurement Project and the IT Hardware Asset Management Project with a team of 5-10 people within a $42M programme of work. Successfully completed the first all of University software and hardware audit to understand the current state of play. Liaising with end users, administrative stakeholders and vendors to formulate the requirements and process design for the whole of life IT Hardware Asset Management process. Formulated project plans and strategies, documenting requirements and researching implementation options. Working closely with Business Analysts and Infrastructure and Operations teams to keep multiple streams of work progressing in parallel. Maintaining regular communication with the Project Board and stakeholders, managing issues and risks, and monitoring the project budget.• Conducted an extensive exercise of auditing the existing Asset Management Database for accuracy and alignment to business requirements and improve budget forecasts. Researched the components of services provided by IS to calculate the Total Cost of Ownership of IT services provided to the UWA as well as cost per user and cost per device where applicable. This led to a clear understanding of the budget ramifications of continuing to provide services to user bases of varying sizes and forced a serious assessment of the business impact of particular services.

• Researched and formulated policies and standards gathered from stakeholder workshops and collaboration to align devolved environments so that consolidation of processes and procurement could generate business benefits across the University and to enable the key functions of teaching & learning, research, administration and the library.• Researched and workshopped the creation of the long term IT strategic plan and IT technological path incorporating emerging IT trends such as mobility, cloud, sustainability, e-learning and e-research to align the future IT projects with the business objectives outlined in the University’s Strategic Plans.

• Developed standards, processes and procedures, writing and maintaining documentation on systems, hardware, software and agreements.• Managed the complete IT Hardware and Software Asset Lifecycle of equipment for the School. This involved maintaining the Asset Management database; preparing and monitoring the IT budget and reporting IT expenditure forecasts, dealing with vendors and end users.• Managed and supported all aspects of Windows server, workstation and network operations for staff and students with 2 Active Directories, 11 servers including an Exchange server and over 60 workstations and laptops.

• Liaised with clients and providing software, hardware and network support and recommendations. Conducted hardware audits to validate Asset Management database reports and to prepare lifecycle budget proposals. Provided PC, system and network support within Windows workstation and server environments. Installed and trained users in the use of Maximizer CRM software. This included hospitals, medical practices, law firms, multi-nationals, manufacturing plants, warehouses, shops and homes.

•Managed the Perth office of a software and consulting firm selling and supporting GIS, geophysical and imaging software and providing geophysical consulting services to both the mineral and oil and gas exploration industries. Extensive client liaison negotiating contracts and deliverables.

Manage the geophysical requirements, budget and staff of projects within the International Region, principally Argentina, Fiji and PNG with some work on India, Vanuatu, and Canada.
