I was accountable for the Bank’s payments activity, its ATM estate and relationships with the rest of the payments industry:• leading the bank’s £50m ATM business – increasing the estate from 1500 ATMs to 2600, responsible for c5% of UK cash distribution, growing profits to £8m per annum, and finally led the sale of the business to Cardtronics• ensuring that 2m customer payments a day worked to customer expectations and met all regulatory and industry requirements – covering all payment… Show more I was accountable for the Bank’s payments activity, its ATM estate and relationships with the rest of the payments industry:• leading the bank’s £50m ATM business – increasing the estate from 1500 ATMs to 2600, responsible for c5% of UK cash distribution, growing profits to £8m per annum, and finally led the sale of the business to Cardtronics• ensuring that 2m customer payments a day worked to customer expectations and met all regulatory and industry requirements – covering all payment types (cards, cheques, cash, electronic) and all of the bank’s customer groups (personal, business and “agency” financial institutions)• was the accountable sponsor leading the successful implementation of major payments projects in the Co-operative Bank – re-platforming of the Bank’s debit and credit cards, European Payment Services Directive, contactless cards launch• undertaking board level roles in the UK payments industry - Visa UK Board Director, Chaps Co Board Director, UK Cards Association Board Director, Link Network Members’ Council.
