David Felman is Chief Administrative Officer of Anderson Holdings, the private investment vehicle and holding company for the Anderson family, originally founded by John E. Anderson. David oversees finance, treasury, accounting, tax, risk management, governance, legal, M&A, and strategic initiatives, and is an officer and/or board member of Anderson's portfolio companies. David has over 20 years of business operations, financial, and transactions experience, as a chief financial officer, investment banker, and institutional investor. He has extensive experience advising management teams and board directors on critical strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, joint ventures, and recapitalizations and restructurings, representing over $100 billion and over 50 announced transactions, with a significant focus on real estate and consumer/retail.Previously, David was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, Moelis & Co., and Greif & Co., and served on the investment staff of Stanford Management Company, which manages Stanford University’s endowment and other assets. David also has prior private equity investment experience for Moelis Capital Partners (NexPhase Capital). David served as Chief Financial Officer of College Health Enterprises, and oversaw the founding family’s investment, real estate, and philanthropy office. After serving on the board of Jewish Family Service LA, David was also its Chief Financial Officer and recognized as CFO of the Year (for nonprofits) by the Los Angeles Business Journal. David was previously honored for inclusion on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “LA 500” list of the 500 Most Influential People in Los Angeles. David serves on several nonprofit boards, including Jewish Family Service LA, Temple Isaiah, and Friars Charitable Foundation (Friars Club). David holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science with Distinction and Honors from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. in Finance, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship from UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he graduated first in the class and as a Carter Fellow. David was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he lives with his wife and two children.
