Additionally, I have served as an ESCA Cluster Benchmarking Expert, conducting BRONZE and GOLD Label Assessments in France, Kazakhstan and Spain, for cluster organisations in the fields of agri-food, biotech and pharma, construction, energy and environment, furniture and wood, ICT, production and engineering, tourism, transportation and mobility.

The role of the Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) includes: facilitating local companies’ contact with the WBG and access to WBG business opportunities; acting as the voice of their national private sector in advising the WBG on how to better engage companies on development issues; and disseminating WBG knowledge and research of interest to the private sector. The Private Sector Liaison Officers Network (PSLO Network) is a network of over 155 business intermediary organizations in more than 98 countries, designed to facilitate World Bank Group (WBG) engagement with the private sector.

* Advice to SMEs on access to multilateral finance, guaranties and projects for the private sector.* Presentation of investment projects (Tunisia, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia) to IFC and MIGA.* Coordination of several business meetings and workshops for SMEs with World Bank Group (IBRD, IFC and MIGA), African Development Bank (AfDB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), CAF – Latin America Development Bank and Inter-American Development Bank (IADB).* Member of the Board on behalf of SPRI at several cluster organisations.* Team member of the “Competitive Intelligence - RADAR initiative, SPRI. * Collaboration in several initiatives aimed at building capacities and sharing knowledge and developing partnerships: TR3S European Interregional Cooperation Project, co-financed by EU Interreg IVC, and aimed at mobilising the innovation capacity and potential of regions towards smart specialization and growth (www.tr3s-project.eu), and KNOW-HUB Project (www.know-hub.eu), sharing knowledge in implementing smart and effective policies for innovation; Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) System exchanges with the World Bank Argentina office and Uruguay ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency); Technical Cooperation Agreement with CORFO Chile to assist regional development agencies in setting up a regional innovation system (RIS) in the framework of an EU funded programme.* Launched a joint initiative with 6 cluster organisation to deliver “Basque Solutions for Sustainable Urban Development", under an agreement with FINDETER Colombia & IADB.* Appointed as World Bank Group Private Sector Liaison Officer (PSLO) for the Basque Country (03/2013).
