In 2011, I spearheaded the creation of a Private Capital Group (a national CBRE service line) covering New York City's Outer Boroughs.Primary Responsibilities:● Source investment sale opportunities through both internal and external relationships.● Manage the entire cycle of a commercial real estate transaction, including marketing, negotiating, due diligence and closing proccess.● Valuate commercial real estate, providing bid support for institutional investors as well as acquisition and disposition guidance.Deal Highlights:● The sale of a 425,000 ± SF flex industrial facility in Connecticut on behalf of a private investor. The buyer securitized the bondable, investment grade lease, allowing the seller to achieve a premium to market bids.● Participation in the sale of an 850-unit multifamily portfolio in Brooklyn, NY on behalf of a private equity fund. This sale was among the largest in the Outer Boroughs in 2011, representing the rare sale on an institutional quality portfolio. The Private Capital Group assisted with market research, collateral development, investor outreach and site tours.● In early 2012, I sold a non-performing loan secured by a partially occupied 50,000 SF office building in northern New Jersey, on behalf of a special servicer. This complex, off-market deal had tremendous time constraints. The deal was structured and closed in less than 15-days.● Represented one of the largest private equity real estate funds in the creative sale of a non-performing loan secured by a multifamily building in New York City's outer boroughs.
