- Created a self-service portal using Visual Studio C# and PowerShell to allow tech support and department heads to run various tasks such as password resets, account lockouts, add or remove users from groups, modify account information, disable accounts, and terminate users.- Took ownership of VMware vSphere and migrated to a new vSphere 5.1 environment during our datacenter migration, while setting up 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Fiber Channel over Ethernet to all the hosts. Most recently converted all ESXi hosts to use iSCSI. Running vSphere 7 consisting of a single vCenter VSCA server, 12 ESXi hosts, and 450 guests.- Created a Server Inventory Database (SID) using PowerShell, MSSQL, and PHP to inventory servers. A PowerShell based SID agent gathers information on all servers and provides asset tracking, rack and switch layouts, reporting, and auditing. Daily reports generated with SID data to help with operations tasks.- Deployed VMware vRealize Operations Manager for more in-depth monitoring and dashboards. Configured Blue Medora management packs for NetApp, Citrix, Dell, Cisco and F5 to get monitoring down the stack and better insight into issues.- Write PowerShell scripts for the team to automate workflows and send daily reports for NetApp, Commvault, and VMware. Assist others in the department with writing and troubleshooting scripts.- Setup Disaster Recovery replication to Microsoft using Azure Site Recovery. Currently seeding over 10 TB of data and 50 VMs to the cloud. Additional azure servers have been setup to provide immediate access in case of a disaster.- Implemented Citrix XenApp 6.5 to virtualize applications, to provide a better user experience, and to simplify support for the Helpdesk. - Implemented System Center Configuration Manager 2012 to create standard images for laptops and desktops.
