I am a student at Deakin University. I major in International Relations and Middle East Studies. I’m an exuberant and goal-driven person who seeks to dive into any projects put in front of me. I love working with others, am an excellent oral communicator and have a strong passion to work and cooperate with people to complete any task , whether it be long-term or short-term. My experience as an umpire has helped me make important decisions under extreme pressure and manage tasks effectively. I seek to aim to work in international affairs and want to help build a better world for all. My work as a volunteer in the Philippines was to document the actions and work done by volunteers helping the local community, whether that be cooking proper nutritional food for children to meet their needs or to helping kids at an orphanage or disadvantaged schools. My job was to go to these places and take photos, observe their progress and post it to the organisation’s social media in order to reach other students around the world, in all different backgrounds and fields of study, and to convince them to come and help underprivileged communities. This work matters because it’s what we need to do to help build this world and realise its potential. I love to work in International Affairs, helping people and trying to make things better in a world which is constantly moving and changing day by day. I love to travel and explore the world and get a real sense of what’s happening on the ground and addressing any challenge in good faith and resolve.
