As a contractor for Sonepar USA, my role was to design creative for Emails for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, design and build pages in Websphere Commerce and WEM and work with 11 different Operating Companies across the USA on their Digital Marketing.

My role at the Savannah Morning News changed a lot over the 4 years. Ultimately I was responsible for more than a three million dollar online budget. I worked closely with the advertising department on a daily basis and ultimately because part of that department. There I was responsible for creating and and managing the Online Revenue Budget.We used a lot more online sales tools as technology evolved. This meant we were now selling all types of online media. This included Rich Media Banner Ads, Corner Peels, Interstitials, Email Blasts, Yahoo Media and Behavioral Targeting Packages.Sales training was also a big part of this job. This involved working with Print sales reps to assist them in selling the online media. This was an essential part of meeting revenue goals.In this position I also learned new flash skills to being creating and working with Print Designers to create flash banner ads. These ads were much more attractive to advertisers versus a static banner ad.Ultimately, this job prepared me to start my own company.

When first starting at The News Star, I was the Online Coordinator. This meant I was responsible for building the website and updating the news. Here my skills in HTML really grew to help make the website easy to use and full of content. My role changed to Online Manager which brought in responsibilities for Sales on the website. This included Selling Banner Ads and being in charge of verticals like Careerbuilder and Cars.com. In this job, I attended daily sales meetings run by Roy Heatherly and Bruce Deaton. They were excellent in helping develop my sales and marketing skills. I learned all about value selling and selling against different types of media including TV, Radio and Yellow pages. As my position evolved, we moved the website content responsibilities over to the news side of the business and the content creation was done by a central team for all Louisiana papers. This allowed me to further develop my sales training skills and focus on meeting our online revenue budgets.

Responsible for building the website, and maintaining the website daily. In addition to local website changes, I also uploaded stories to MSNBC.com twice daily. Through our efforts, we were recognized by NBC for making a big jump in local traffic since I had arrived.
