I contributed to a project aimed at presenting a data-informed plan to align with the London Mayor’s strategy to increase the uptake of cycling in London and to help the client better understand the factors that contribute to the uptake of cycling in the city for Thoughtworks.Our analysis focused on examining London cyclist demographics, the impact of cycling infrastructure and bike share programs, drawing insights from other cycling cities to understand cycling behaviour and identify barriers preventing underrepresented groups from embracing cycling. The goal was to provide data-driven recommendations to refine the mayor’s strategy to make cycling safer, more accessible, and appealing for all Londoners. We discovered key trends, created actionable recommendations, and presented our findings to stakeholders through detailed reports and visualizations. • Managed the full project lifecycle, from initial briefing to final presentations, providing data-driven insights on cycle safety, social factors, infrastructure, journey and cyclist factors.• Cleaned and processed large datasets, including demographic, performance, and retention data, ensuring accurate and reliable analysis. • Utilized Python to build predictive models that identified underrepresented groups and impact of improving accessibility for lower socio-economic groups/areas.• Conducted exploratory data analysis (EDA) to reveal key patterns and trends, using visualisations to support findings and recommendations. • Collaborated closely with stakeholders to gather additional data, refine analysis, and ensure recommendations aligned with business goals.• Delivered compelling presentations with advanced visualisations and storytelling techniques to communicate insights and drive informed decision-making.
