David is an experienced lawyer with expertise in both litigation and arbitration who has advised on some of Australia’s most significant commercial disputes. In both 2022 and 2023, Legal500 Asia-Pacific named David as "Next Generation Partner" for Commercial Litigation while in 2020, David was listed as one of Australia's 50 Outstanding LGBTI+ Leaders in the 2020 Report.With expertise in both financial services litigation and large-scale complex commercial disputes, David specialises in working with clients to navigate competing pathways whilst balancing public interest and attention. His experience in both politics and corporate governance (including election issues and other electoral law matters), and deep understanding of the reputational considerations inherent in disputes and corporate change, enables him to bring well-rounded insight for his clients.David is a longstanding advocate for diversity and inclusion. He is Corrs’ dedicated Diversity & Inclusion Partner, overseeing Corrs’ commitment to sustaining an inclusive and supportive culture. David was involved in establishing Corrs’ LGBTQ employee network and served as its inaugural Chair. David has held a number of board positions, including as director and Chair of the Board of one of Australia’s leading LGBTQ philanthropic organisations (GiveOUT). David is currently a director and Chair of the Board of The Footpath Library, a not-for-profit organisation assisting people experiencing homelessness. David’s work in corporate diversity has seen him recognised as an outstanding LGBTQ leader.David is a member of the Turnaround Management Association of Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Law Society of New South Wales.
