I had the incredible opportunity to intern at AbbVie as a part of their operations team within the Manufacturing, Engineering and Contracting (ME&C) department. As an operations intern my main focus was on implementing an inventory management process for a maturing manufacturing facility.This facility utilizes mammalian cell culture to produce product that goes into anti-aging skin care products for SkinMedica. Being apart of this facility allowed me to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field of pharmaceutical manufacturing.One of my many highlights of my internship was the chance to work on the 5S process, which involved organizing and standardizing process rooms with cross-team functionality. This initiative aimed to create a more efficient and collaborative work environment, benefiting all teams involved.This internship was a transformative experience, allowing me to contribute to the optimization of inventory management processes, and witness firsthand, the impact of efficient operations on a manufacturing facility. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of AbbVie's Operations team and look forward to applying the skills and knowledge I have gain in my future experiences.

At Nouryon one of my major accomplishments included creating and implementing an automated process that would provide accurate inventory site targets for up to 6 months. Once this process was created I ensured that all sites globally were properly trained in using this tool. This taught me in-depth excel functions and tools as well as how to lead global meetings with team members across the globe.One other accomplishment I found to be important to leadership at Nouryon included making decisive changes to stocking policies to reach entitlement, or the lowest functional inventory levels. This aids in potential inventory reduction in the future if needed.
