Geffen Advisors LLC is a consultancy that provides strategic advice and solutions to investment managers including hedge funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, and family offices in areas including treasury, financing, prime brokerage, counterparty and liquidity risk management, and trading documentation negotiation. Geffen Advisors also provides advice to new hedge fund managers on foundational aspects of their launches, typically including their selection and contract negotiations with prime brokers, administrators and audit firms. Proposed, created and teach two classes for Masters of Science in Finance and MBA candidates:• “Hedge Funds”: Have been teaching this class annually since the Spring 2020 semester. This course provides a broad overview of the hedge fund industry, covering the history of the industry, the current state and the outlook. It also covers strategies used by hedge fund managers, the asset classes they trade and the instruments they use to create their positions, some of the most successful managers of the past and present, and some that failed and the lessons learned. The class considers the perspectives of the hedge fund manager, investors, employees and other industry participants. The class includes guest lectures from industry professionals, readings, case studies, and team projects. • “Alternative Investments”: Co-developed and co-instructed this half-semester introductory class for the first time in the Spring 2023 semester. This class provides an overview of the Alternative asset classes most commonly found in institutional investors' portfolios: Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Assets, and many of the underlying sub-strategies in each. Students receive an introduction into the return-enhancing and diversification benefits of Alternatives, and how Alternatives are commonly used in portfolios by institutional investors. This class also provides an introduction to emerging asset classes such as crypto currencies and collectibles (i.e. artwork). Content includes guest lectures from industry professionals, readings, case studies and team projects. The David Eccles School of Business is located on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City, Utah. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2017. The school currently offers nine undergraduate majors, four MBA programs, nine specialized master's programs, a Ph.D. program, and executive education offerings.

High Valley Transit (HVT) is Summit County, Utah's public transportation system which was formed in 2021. HVT runs no-fee service within Summit County including fixed route bus service, shuttle bus service to/from some of Park City’s busiest business and retail areas, and on-request van service (micro transit) between residences and bus stops and other locations. HVT is also responsible for fixed route bus service between Salt Lake City and Summit County and between Wasatch County and Summit County. HVT operates with an annual operating budget of approximately $25 million and provided service to approximately 2 million riders in its first two years of operation. www.highvalleytransit.org

Created, led, and staffed a 10 person securities finance group that managed BlackRock’s prime brokerage, futures clearing, financing, and counterparty credit relationships with banks and brokerage firms. Developed and delivered the group’s strategic plan, oversaw provider selection and effectiveness, facilitated business growth, and enhanced fund performance. Mitigated credit, legal, and operating risks. Promoted the group’s expansion to cover all BlackRock hedge and levered funds post-merger. • Saved BlackRock managed funds millions of dollars by leveraging the firm’s status as one of the largest and influential global clients, and through use of proprietary technologies and tools.• Cultivated relationships and conducted quarterly meetings at banks and brokerage firms to maintain access to more than $25B of hedge fund financing throughout the 2007/2008 financial crisis.• Instituted prime broker scorecard process designed to establish expectations, provide feedback, and promote transparency for prime broker performance, including comparative analysis versus competition. • Created and delivered presentations to investors and prospects on prime broker and counterparty selection, hedge fund liquidity risk management, and counterparty credit risk mitigation.• Initiated and supported the development of technologies and analytical tools to track prime broker capabilities, pricing, and spending, resulting in substantial cost savings.

Established and led a team that managed bank and brokerage firm credit relationships. Presented the firm to counterparties and negotiated trading agreements. As a senior member of the global treasury group, identified opportunities to improve fund liquidity by reducing margin posted. • Built the company’s credit department and served as Chief Credit Officer. Implemented strategies to gain access to credit with favorable documentation and margin terms. Assessed counterparty creditworthiness.

Led a global team managing credit exposures to more than 1,000 hedge funds. Collaborated with internal prime brokerage and OTC derivatives groups to enable growth while managing credit risk. Represented the firm in hedge fund matters with the SEC and FSA.• Expanded coverage of hedge funds from 600 to 1,000+ during tenure.• Established margin lending rules and OTC margin policies for complex hedge fund trading strategies. • Contributed as part of a cross functional team on the architecture, design, and build of technologies.

Oversaw marketing and credit for the firm’s global relationships with investment banks, hedge funds, pension funds, and endowments. Marketed capital markets, transaction banking, corporate finance and loan/liquidity products. Structured and negotiated loans. Developed and delivered pitches, resulting in client mandates and increased firm revenue. Representative clients included: Morgan Stanley, Prudential Securities, Soros Fund Management, Caxton Corporation, and Commodities Corporation.

Directed marketing efforts and managed credit relationships with Fortune 500 clients. Led a six-month special project in Japan.
