We are retrofitting businesses to become autism ready so they are able to understand, train and hire this able and incredibly dedicated workforce.

ExerciseBuddy, an iPad App, solves the difficult problem of introducing exercise to individuals with autism. Utilizing four evidence-based practices (exercise, visual supports, video-modeling, technology-aided instruction), ExerciseBuddy is being used by six universities.

Founded in 2008, the Exercise Connection seeks to educate parents, educators and physicians to be the leaders in health and fitness for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).Exercise Connection will help in the development of exercise programs for non-profit organizations, schools and community centers. Educational DVD's help to improve personal exercise programs at home for parents of a child with ASD.

The Autism Fitness Handbook

Member of the Board of Directors of Autism Society of Illinois. Our mission is to help improve the lives of children, adults and families affected by autism spectrum disorders.

Developed exercise programs for students with a primary diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder. Worked with students between the ages of 5 and 21. Students were seen in large groups (10 or more)to improve their health through exercise and sport. The program seeked to improve social skills, independence while meeting Individual Education Plan goals.

Developed off-season strength and conditioning programs for Tony Pape. Tony played for the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers

Developed exercise programs for children with autism. Created a physical education program for Giant Steps of Illinois, Inc, a school for children with autism. Developed Postural Awareness Training (P.A.T.), as a supplemental PE program for schools and wellness facilities. Implemented P.A.T. in school district 106. Presented Right Fit and its programs to Slippery Rock University, Illinois School Districts 181 and 106, DuPage County Physical Education and Driver Education, and the Howard Long Wellness Center in West Virginia.

Critiqued videotapes, reviewed research articles and taught linear and lateral principles. Proficient in teaching Olympic lifts, plyometrics and squat progression. Worked with incoming freshmen, taking them through initial strength evaluations and nutritional analysis.

At an outpatient clinic, counseled youth and teenagers with drug, family and suicidal problems. Completed daily patient reports and worked directly with the therapists and doctors. Served as a youth counselor for Camp Hickory, a camp designed for children with attention deficient disorder and attention deficient hyperactivity disorder.
