About David Farquhar Frgs
The new phase of my journey combines positive Environmental and Social impact with building companies, also of impact. My 'E' contribution is with the John Muir Trust and my 'S' via Children's Hospices Across Scotland, both equally inspiring. Find out more about the 'G' at www.northfaceventures.com. Prior to this I had been a serial entrepreneur for over 3 decades, focused on delivering shareholder value, most recently through driving the rapid growth of vertical farm manufacturer Intelligent Growth Solutions, from R&D start-up to global leader. In 2016 I tried, unsuccessfully, to retire, following the turnaround, transformation, growth and exit of global enterprise SaaS vendor Workplace. In the past 34 years I have completed 30 transactions as a founder/CEO, angel investor and business mentor, including risk capital investments (PE, VC and angel), acquisitions and trade sales in Europe, North America and Asia. I have started, built or invested in 20 companies, sold 13 and have the hard-won experience of having lost three.
