I was also in charge of developing new products and solutions within Virtualware's Healthcare Business Unit. I led the VirtualRehab product team, where we developed a neurorehabilitation platform that incoporated off-the-shelf technologies like the Microsoft Kinect and the Leap Motion controller to allow persons to perform therapeutic activities in a clinical setting as well as in their own homes through telerehabilitation. In my tenure as head of VirtualRehab, the product went from a fairly simple product sold mainly in Spain to a internationally recognised rehabilitation product being used in 20 different countries and having been used by thousands of patients. We are now working with a series of international KOLs in the neurorehabilitation field who are helping us constantly improve the product. I also managed bespoke projects with companies and academic institutions that incorporate Virtual Reality, robotics and other new technologies.
