Monitored and adjusted campus-wide refrigeration and HVAC controls at UMass Amherst using the building automation system (BAC), Metasys. Attended Johnson Controls training on a regular basis to learn about and troubleshoot Metasys controls issues. Tested and fixed fume hood controls in a laboratory environment. Repaired and replaced actuators, control boards, and other control-related components on both fume hoods and building steam and chilled water systems. Worked with and became familiar with fume hood controllers such as TSI, Triatek, Phoenix, Accuspec, Lab Crafters, Tek-Air and Anemostat.

Joined the Refrigeration Team after graduating from a 15 month HVAC/R program that I attended nights while selecting on the day shift in the freezer. Obtained RETA membership and CARO certification. Went from a Tech I to a Tech II in October 2011. I obtained the RETA CIRO in 2013 and graduated to a Tech III that year. I have had hands-on experience with repairing, replacing and/or routine preventative maintenance on all the components of the ammonia refrigeration systems at C&S in both Westfield, MA and Hatfield, MA.
