About David Jay

Author of the upcoming book "Relationality: How Moving from Transactional to Transformational Relationships can Reshape Our Lonely World" from North Atlantic books. I believe that humanity needs thriving social movements to address our more pressing challenges and work to understand and dismantle barriers to those movements receiving funding. As an experienced organizer I know that relationships are at the heart of how movements build power. Those relationships are powerful because they evolve in unpredictable ways, and that unpredictability often makes them difficult to fund. To overcome this challenge I specialize in relational measurement and learning practices that can support funders and community organizers in building trust without requiring communities and movements to behave predictably.
