I have spent over 30 years as a Clinical Leader and Clinical Management Consultant for healthcare organizations in the safety net, with extensive experience as a public-sector primary care physician (and a special interest and credential in HIV/AIDS). I have visited FQHC's in well over 40 states, supporting the work of various federal agencies (including the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the HIV/AIDS Bureau). I review cases for HRSA/FTCA as well consulting privately proving expert/forensic case reviews. I continue to do clinical work in Family Medicine, Chronic Pain Management, and HIV/AIDS. I have served as Medical Director (often on a consulting basis) for a number of community health centers in Hawaii and northern California. Most recently, I was Interim CMO for a health center in Marin County and prior to that I spent two years at OLE Health in Napa, much of that time as CMO. i previously was CMO for HLH in Kauai, Hawaii and AVH in Cloverdale. I have been Interim CMO for a number of centers in California, Hawaii, and Oregon. My focus is on problem-solving, with a focus on taking all perspectives into account. I am Board Certified in Family Medicine, and a certified HIV Physician specialist (AAHIVS). I have special interests and expertise in EMR and pain management.
