As vice chair of the NHSDC Board of Directors, I work with the board to manage the organization, provide direction and oversight, and work to elevate the organization as a leader in the human services data industry. The National Human Services Data Consortium (NHSDC) is an organization focused on developing effective leadership for the best use of information technology to manage human services. NHSDC provides information, assistance, peer to peer education and lifelong learning to its conference participants, website members and other interested parties in the articulation, planning, implementation and continuous operation of technology initiatives to collect, aggregate, analyze and present information regarding the provision of human services.

• Managed the HMIS database, utilized by 30+ non-profit organization and government entities throughout Spokane County.• Supervised, trained, and supported 400+ database users to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the City’s HMIS database.• Established and met performance benchmarks for 100+ federal, state and local programs.• Ensured regulatory compliance with a wide range of federal and state programs including, but not limited to: CoC, CDBG, HOME, HEN, HHAA, VA, RHY, and PATH.• Developed qualitative and quantitative research strategies to best meet the priorities of the organization in local and regional planning efforts.• Responsible for the submission of the Continuum of Care’s (CoC) AHAR (Annual Housing Assessment Report, Annual Performance Reports (APR), CAPER, and all related state and local HMIS reports.• Led the HMIS team in providing data for use in: (1) the City’s annual grant application to HUD; (2) addressing the planning needs of elected officials; and (3) answering inquiries from the public.• Co-authored Spokane's first HMIS regional data sharing agreement involving over 17 different organizations, fostering cross-agency collaboration and greatly improving data quality and database efficiency.
