I lead the Credit Card Shopping team owning and building upon the highest trafficked, highest revenue generating areas of the NerdWallet web site. Using the experiment-driven methodology, we support the performance marketing and organic business units within the credit cards business of NerdWallet using experimentation to determine what works and what doesn’t work for an engaging experience for our users.Focused on revenue generation and search engine rankings, over the last three months, we have improved our Core Web Vitals by 60% maintaining the number one spot on Google in the credit cards space.With the features and improvements we’ve made over the last month,, we have added $450k in revenue to the NerdWallet bottom line.With limited resources, we have also re-platformed our primary revenue generating page to a more efficient, faster loading page with payload size being cut in half.

Founded the Internal Tools division and engineering team at Shipt. During my time here, I have changed the systemic issue that exists most places and that is "internal tools are not important until they are." I was able to do this by putting a vision together for this team that says Shipt cannot portray itself as a company who puts people first unless we start by doing that at its core - internally. That includes the experiences the team members here have with the tools they use every day to do their jobs well.I also came alongside the product team and was able to influence positive change in how internal tools was prioritized as new business initiatives were planned and executed by making sure we had a seat at the table when planning began.The accomplishments of me and my team as of today are:- Built a micro frontend platform that allows the tooling needs of each business domain to be designed, built, tested, maintained and deployed entirely independent of the others.- With the help of our design partners, we built a ReactJS component library that encapsulates all design aspects of HTML components so that engineers aren't having to figure out how to build components to follow our Design Language System.- The first engineering team to bring GraphQL to Shipt by creating an aggregation layer for all of the hundreds of microservices here at Shipt to meet our needs.- Leading team to migrate off of the old monolith administration tool that was high risk to deploy, poorly performant, had no consistency in user experience and no clear lines of domain responsibility.As a leader, I am proud to say that I have grown my team to 12 very talented and passionate engineers. Exposing the data externally in a controlled environment using token authorization and limiting the load on the database allows for a scalable solution with consistent results. User experience is built using Bootstrap and AngularJS which I introduced as the enterprise-wide solution for all web development here at Vulcan. Took my experiences as an athlete in the running/cycling/triathlon scene and built a company to solve all of the problems I saw with how events were timed and managed. Using my skills as a technologist, I developed a completely custom platform to time and score events providing a race experience unmatched by any event management company in existence today.Built and established lean efficient processes to manage large running events and trained the organizations we service to set them up for success and a smooth event day.Our processes, customer service, leadership and experience have set us up to be the best event management company around. Using technology and stellar customer service as the core of our business, we constantly evolve as the needs of the events we manage change allowing this business to stand on it's own.
