AIHA is a nonprofit organization improving global health by assisting countries with limited resources build sustainable institutional and human resource capacity. Through twinning partnerships and other initiatives, AIHA engages the expertise and knowledge of experienced health and allied professionals to strengthen overburdened health systems in the developing world and emerging markets. Since 1992, AIHA has established and managed more than 170 capacity building partnerships and initiatives in 30 countries in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. AIHA has engaged more than 150 US hospitals and health systems and more than 55 academic institutions in this effort. AIHA has obtained more than $290 million of in-kind contributions from these partners, leveraging the more than $300 million of US Government awards received by AIHA. AIHA operates under various cooperative agreements and grants from USG and international donor agencies, including the US President's Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR); the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA); the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); the US Agency for International Development (USAID); and the World Bank. AIHA also receives corporate, foundation, and individual support. Manage all aspects of AIHA's business: Programs, Operations, Finances, Development, Representation, Board relations. Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan of the organization; overseeing the financial, programmatic, human, and administrative operations of AIHA, leading fundraising efforts, increasing the visibility of the organization to a wide variety of stakeholders, and developing additional public/private partnerships. TB Alliance is a product development partnership (PDP) whose mission is to discover, develop, and bring to market new and effective medicines to treat tuberculosis. Responsible for business development (fundraising/resource mobilization); policy/advocacy; stakeholder engagement / representation; and the integration of communications in external affairs. Led TB Alliance efforts that brought in funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, FDA, NIH, UK DfID, Irish AID, AUSAID, and UNITAID, and leveraged funding from several large pharmaceutical companies.

FHI 360 is a large international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in the US and around the world. Founded in 1971, FHI 360’s headquarters are in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, with a large office in Washington, D.C. FHI 360 has 4,400 staff operating in 60 countries managing over 400 programs. The mission of the Center for Private Sector Health Initiatives is to improve the health and well being of people in developing countries by facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships between the public, non-profit and private sectors, including the pharmaceutical industry, to provide health information, services, and products that are affordable, accessible, and high quality. • Provided leadership in defining and implementing the mission, vision, and strategies of the Center. • Oversaw a staff of over 75 professionals in nine countries.• Oversaw projects amounting to more than $120 million.• Supervised all technical, financial, and administrative operations of the Center.• Managed the Center’s growth, including increasing revenue, attracting new donors, and developing innovative partnerships and alliances, particularly with the for-profit private sector.• Raised more than $100 million in contracts in the past year.• Represented the Center with donor agencies, governments, private sector partners, and other key stakeholders and serves as FHI 360 spokesman on issues related to the Center.
