Dots Co-Ordinator - Hampshire Libraries
South Co-ordinator for Hampshire Library Service DOTS (Digital; Options, Training and Support) iPad lending scheme, which was launched in July 2017. The project is aimed at reducing social isolation and boosting digital confidence amongst Hampshire residents through the loan, tuition and support in using an iPad.Key Achievements- Generated the highest numbers of customers in the county through establishing key relationships with library branch staff across 16 library sites, identified outreach groups and over 200 customers in the South Area.- Designed and produced all marketing materials for the project including flyers, posters, videos and animated promotion videos. These have been shared with colleagues across the county for use with all customers of the DOTS project.- Sought opportunities to streamline the process where appropriate to assist with reducing costs and improving the customer experience, such as recommending the purchase of stylus pens for all customers to support those with dexterity issues.- Lead role and responsibility for repairs and support for issues with the iPads, this includes closely liaising with internal and external contacts and suppliers to rectify issues as well as arranging replacements.- Successfully engaged with key demographic target of the project, in particular with hard to reach groups most in need of support such as Mens Shed groups. By securing a strong rapport with the local Gosport group, colleagues were able to replicate the success across other areas, such as Romsey, Test Valley and Colden Common.- Created strong relationships with a variety of organisations through networking, including Gosport borough council, Right at Home Solent, Gosport Mens Shed, and the Highlands Hub.- Successfully organised and filmed all of the video case studies across the county for the project to aid provide useful insight to Key project stakeholders including Senior Management and also to support further funding applications.
