This involved coordinating among engineering and business groups in multiple divisions (Windows Client, Windows Server, System Center Management) to develop a unified sales and marketing strategy, and differentiate against VMware (the market leader at the time). I also led the Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V global launch, which involved working with subsidiaries from around the world, and was the primary spokesperson for press and analyst engagements. -
FounderSoftricity (Acquired By Microsoft) 1998 - 2006UsI was the Co-Founder of Softricity, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006.Softricity created the application virtualization and software streaming space, which enabled applications to be delivered on-demand as cloud services. The technology is now used for Microsoft’s App-V, Office Click-to-Run, and Project Centennial. As Founder, I developed the first product specifications and prototypes, filed the first patents, oversaw the market fit and positioning as we evolved from a consumer to enterprise product, built out a team of over 100 employees, and helped raised over $50M from venture capital firms. -
